Jakob Gjaerum

My favourite place in Copenhagen is Værnedamsvej

Meet Jakob

“Right on the border of Vesterbro and Frederiksberg, you’ll find Værnedamsvej, Copenhagen’s own little slice of Paris. It’s loud, lively, and completely charming. It has this rare neighborhood magic where everything somehow slows down, even though you’re right in the thick of it.

I usually end up staying way longer than planned, moving from coffee to a glass of wine, just taking in the street and the people passing by. It’s my go-to spot whenever I want to feel like a local in my own city.”

Tobias Frydendal

My favourite place in Copenhagen is Amager Strand

Meet Tobias

“Amager Strand is Copenhagen’s own Venice Beach. I love the mix of beach life, bikes, swimming and people, and how quickly you can get there from the city centre. It’s where I go for a run, take a dip in the sea or grab a coffee and stay for a while. In the colder months, I’ll often end the day with a swim followed by sauna at Inipi.

What I like most is the contrast. You can be surrounded by the energy of Copenhagen one minute and have your feet in the sand the next. It’s probably the place that best captures what I love about living here.”

Karen Dulong

My favourite place in Copenhagen is Nikolaj Kunsthal

Meet Karen

“I love Nikolaj Kunsthal because it brings contemporary art into beautiful old Danish architecture. There’s something really cool about seeing new and experimental work inside a historic church. It feels like a living space rather than just a place to see exhibitions and there are always new things happening, from concerts and performances to talks and dinners.

I also love how it makes art feel open and approachable to everyone. It brings together art, culture and people in a very natural way, and it's always worth a visit.”
